He has been working odd hours at work out of the blue Occasionally a cheater will use the excuse that he has to work late. It sounds like a good excuse to the cheater, but you already know better. If you know that he has a job that does not require him to work late, then probe even further and ask questions that don't sound probing, but casual. Asking simple questions will force him to make up a lie on the fly and if he cannot come up with one then you know he is lying. Such as asking, who else has to work late? or Why do you have to work late? It is your right to ask questions, if he starts to get defensive about it then you will most definitely be on to something.
